Although the house has its own charm and character, our attempt at staging left too much personality and not enough of the architecture. There is no way to stage your own place as craftily as Lee. The expense was well worth it and although we did purchase a few things, Lee is very good at using what one has to its best advantage. The detachment you gain from staging makes you more eager to move on and not so attached to staying. As I have prepacked most of the house accordingly, moving will be much simpler as well. I have been looking at listings on the internet where we are going to move and the ones that have been staged show the best. It is much easier to see the "house" without so much "home". Overall the staging experience is more than worthwhile. Lee did in one day what I could not do in several months. She was great to work with. I can recommend her to anyone as not only a good sales investment but also as a pleasant way to spend time on a not-so-pleasant task. Our pre-construction sales were slow and at the completion of construction we had only two reservations for units. At this time we increased our sales and promotion efforts to include bulk purchase incentives, bank financing incentives, and increased advertising. Interest continued to be slack.
